CogniWise designs, manages and supports ICT infrastructure for organizations whose requirements go beyond typical small-business IT. Clients include diplomatic missions, public-sector bodies, and private organizations — all operating under demanding standards of confidentiality, continuity and security.

CogniWise draws on close to three decades of enterprise IT experience — ranging from service delivery for major Nordic employers through a global IT company, to ongoing infrastructure and security work for diplomatic missions and other small public-sector organizations. That experience is applied directly to a small, selected number of clients at a time, without account managers, help-desk queues, or multiple suppliers to deal with.

CogniWise is not built to grow quickly, and does not compete on volume. Engagements typically begin through direct introduction, and are sized to allow the same close attention regardless of how small or specialized the organization is.

Areas of work

  • Infrastructure design, deployment and ongoing management — servers, virtualization, networking, cabling, backup, IP/SIP telephony
  • Disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including real-incident recovery experience
  • Security-conscious systems administration and access governance — documentation, permissions and need-to-know design
  • Management of access-control, alarm and video-surveillance systems, and broader support for organizations with elevated confidentiality requirements
